<image:caption>The client's goals were to help people find affordable transportation through the site and to get them over to the downtown core. We ran a study to understand user needs.. One key finding was that 82% of customers said they usually use Google Maps to find parking instead of a parking app or site. Because of this, we decided to go with a map first approach for the site.</image:caption>

<image:caption>1. Finding the shuttle section. Every user struggled to find the waterfront shuttle link on the homepage. The link was hidden on the top of the page and visibly hard to locate as the font was too small and font color too bright with a bright orange background. The shuttle link, shuttle information, and other links were stacked and did not appear as buttons or links. 2. Finding shuttle stops and shuttle tracker on the map. The shuttle stops on the map didn't have a specific label, so it was hard for users to notice the black dots as stops. The shuttle tracker was also hard to notice as it was labeled as “N/S, and “E.” 3. Navigating the full page with the map sitting in the middle. Most phones had limited space, causing users to get stuck on the map in the middle of the page. Once you finally bypassed the map then, the list of stops was available at the bottom of the page.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My teammate and I started the process by first completing an affinity map. The map helped us gather the site data, and after organizing the facts into groups, I was able to brainstorm and form my questions for the survey. The client's goal was to allow grandpas leave a lasting legacy for their grandchildren. What features could we add to support the goal on the homepage?</image:caption>

      <image:title>GP - Survey Results</image:title>
<image:caption>Survey results showed that 90% of users are interested in a program that allows grandparents to leave messages and pictures for grandchildren to receive in the future. Most users were not interested in paying a membership fee for such a program. Users did say privacy features were a must, and preferred leaving private messages for family members. 100% of users couldn't figure out what the current homepage or the business offered. They also had a hard time submitting stories on the site because at times the feature has an error message.</image:caption>

      <image:title>GP - Time for user testing!</image:title>
<image:caption>After testing five users, I learned the digital voice message section was still a bit confusing for most users. I decided to move the card to the middle of the page and add more details about the feature. Users commented on wanting more options, such as articles and other reading material, so I added a "Resource" section. The “Tell Your Story” button is now located under featured grandpa stories.</image:caption>

      <image:title>GP - Conclusion:</image:title>
<image:caption>The Grandpa Project is an excellent program with a grand mission to help grandpas leave a lasting legacy for their children and grandchildren. To achieve this goal, the site needed added features and an overall upgrade. The new design allows grandpas to leave messages, pictures, and videos for their future grandkids by using the "Digital Capsule”. Users can easily find resources and articles to read to keep them active on the site. Users can also be featured on the site by submitting their stories.</image:caption>
